Johan Wagenaar

Johan Wagenaar (1862-1941) was a Dutch composer and conductor primarily associated with the late Romantic music period. His works reflect the influences of both German and French musical traditions, characterized by rich harmonies and orchestral color. Wagenaar is best known for his orchestral suite "Nederlandsche Fantasie" (1910), which showcases his ability to integrate Dutch folk themes into classical forms.
